The Assignment

Sanandum is now looking for a licensed nurse for an assignment within the Health and Medical Care Unit of Arjeplog Municipality. The assignment is varied and responsible, suitable for those who are confident in their professional role and enjoy independent work.

Arjeplog is one of Sweden's largest municipalities by area, offering magnificent mountain-adjacent nature, short distances, and a unique living environment. In the central town, workplaces, services, and recreational and cultural activities are within walking distance. The nearest airport is in Arvidsjaur (about 98 km), and it is also possible to travel by train to Jörn with further bus connections.

About the Organization

The Health and Medical Care Unit consists of nurses, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, HSE assistants (nursing assistants), and a unit manager. The unit is responsible for health and medical care within:

• Special housing
• 
  
• Home care
• 
  
• LSS housing
• 
  
• LSS children's housing

The workplace is located at Björkbacken, a newly built special housing facility where a health center and public dental care are also located in the same building.

Scope of the operation:

• Björkbacken: 42 special housing places and 6 short-term places
• 
  
• Home care: about 30 patients and home visit assignments
• 
  
• LSS housing: 5 places
• 
  
• LSS children's housing: 1 place

Working Methods and Responsibilities

• Evenings, nights, and weekends, you work alone as a nurse
• 
  
• On nights and parts of weekends, on-call duty is included
• 
  
• You are responsible for the entire municipality's health and medical care up to the nurse level
• 
  
• Doctors are available in Arjeplog around the clock if needed
• 
  
• Occupational therapists and physiotherapists work during the day

Qualifications

• Licensed nurse

• Confident in independent work and medical assessments
• 
  
• Good ability to take responsibility and make independent decisions
• 
  
• Experience in municipal care is an advantage
